MP NEET UG 2026 Round 1 MBBS Cutoff: Reporting Underway Till September 3

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, declared the Round 1 seat allotment result for NEET UG 2026 state quota counselling on August 24, 2026. The result, published on the official portal dme.mponline.gov.in, carries the college- and category-wise cutoffs for candidates seeking admission to MBBS and BDS courses under the 85 percent state quota. Candidates allotted a seat must report to their college between August 25 and September 3, 2026, up to 6 PM, to complete document verification and fee payment.

The Round 1 result was originally scheduled for August 20 but was pushed back by four days. DME MP revised its dates to align the state counselling schedule with the Medical Counselling Committee’s updated All India Quota Round 1 timeline.

How to Check the MP NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Result and Cutoff

2. Open the undergraduate medical counselling (DME UG) section.
3. Click on the Round 1 provisional seat allotment result link.
4. Search for your roll number or log in with your registered credentials.
5. Download the allotment letter, which shows your allotted college, course, category and rank.

Candidates should carry the original allotment letter, along with academic and category certificates, at the time of reporting.

Reservation and Seat Distribution

MP’s state quota counselling follows a fixed reservation structure across all participating colleges. Vertical reservation is set at 40 percent unreserved, 20 percent Scheduled Tribe, 16 percent Scheduled Caste, 14 percent Other Backward Classes and 10 percent Economically Weaker Sections. On top of this, 30 percent of seats in every category are reserved horizontally for women, and 5 percent for candidates who completed Classes 9 to 12 in a Madhya Pradesh government school.

This reservation structure determines how far down the merit list each college and category fills, and is a key reason closing ranks vary sharply between categories at the same college.

How Last Year’s Round 1 Cutoff Compares

DME MP has not released a compiled 2026 cutoff table yet, so candidates gauging their chances can refer to last year’s trend as a rough guide, not a prediction. In MP NEET UG 2025 Round 1, government medical college seats closed at roughly the 51,000 to 57,000 rank mark for the General, OBC and EWS categories combined across the state, while SC and ST seats, aided by wider reservation and fewer applicants in those brackets, closed much later, beyond the 1.9 lakh and 3.6 lakh rank respectively.

Individual top government colleges closed far earlier. Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal, closed its Round 1 MBBS seats at an opening rank of around 1,460 and a closing rank of around 13,812 in 2025, while Gajra Raja Medical College, Gwalior, closed between roughly 2,230 and 21,808. Private medical colleges in the state closed considerably later, with General category seats going beyond the 1.18 lakh rank mark last year. These figures are 2025 benchmarks and will differ this year based on seat availability, registrations and choice-filling patterns.

What Happens Next

Candidates who report and complete admission formalities at their Round 1 college remain eligible to seek an upgrade in Round 2. Those who do not report by September 3 risk forfeiting their allotted seat. Candidates who did not receive a seat in Round 1 do not need to register again; they are automatically considered for Round 2, whose schedule DME MP is expected to announce after Round 1 reporting closes.
