RBSE has ended the automatic promotion policy for class 8 students. The automation promotion policy meant that class 8 students would be promoted to class 9 irrespective of their marks, and there was no passing marks criterion. But from the academic year 2025-2026, students will now have to clear the passing marks criteria. Then only their class 8 results will be considered as passed, and they will be promoted to the next year.
