The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra, has opened online registration for the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) Round 1 for MBBS and BDS (Group A) courses for the academic year 2026–27, with the window running from August 6 to August 12, 2026. The schedule was issued through notification dated August 5, 2026, signed by the Commissioner, CET Cell, Mumbai. Candidates who have qualified NEET (UG) 2026 can apply on the official portal, with admissions to government, government-aided, municipal corporation and private unaided medical and dental colleges to be made strictly on NEET (UG) 2026 merit.

Note: A candidate will be treated as registered only after the registration fee is paid successfully. Those who fail to upload the required documents within the window will not be considered under the claimed category.

Category and Document Rules

Candidates claiming EWS must submit a certificate valid for 2026–27 in the Maharashtra State Government format only; the Central Government format will not be accepted. PwD candidates must have claimed the quota at the time of NEET 2026 and submit an eligibility certificate from one of the medical boards listed in Notice No. 1.

For OBC and SEBC candidates, the time limit to submit the Caste Validity Certificate has been extended to six months from the date of CAP registration, as per the Government Resolution of the General Administration Department dated July 2, 2026. Failure to submit it within this period will result in cancellation of admission and penalty for lapse of seat.

NRI candidates are eligible only for the 15 per cent Institute Quota, as per merit. At the time of physical joining, fees must be paid at the college by demand draft; cheques are permitted only on bank holidays and must be replaced by a DD on the next working day.

Other Details

The CET Cell has said the schedule is subject to change as per directions from MCC, AACCC, the Central or State Government, or the courts. Schedules for Group B (AYUSH) and Group C (allied) courses, and for subsequent Group A rounds, will be announced later. No proxy is allowed at physical document verification.
