The board has clarified that no separate intimation will be sent. It is the candidate’s responsibility to log in and check whether a seat has been allocated. Category-wise opening and closing ranks for the special rounds are published separately on the admissions portal.
Online Reporting: What Candidates Must Do
Candidates allotted a seat for the first time in Round 2 must download the seat allotment intimation slip and then complete three steps within the reporting window: upload the required documents, pay IAF-II, and respond to any query raised by the verifying officer.
Document upload does not apply to candidates whose documents were already verified in the NIT+ System during JoSAA 2026 Rounds 1 to 5.
CSAB has stated that uploaded documents will not be verified until IAF-II is paid. Non-payment of IAF-II is treated as rejection of the allotted seat.
Candidates who were already allotted a seat in Round 1 and paid IAF-II do not have to pay it again. The fee is charged only in the round in which a seat is allotted for the first time. Type-6 candidates, who had secured a seat in JoSAA 2026 by paying the Partial Admission Fee, are exempt from IAF-II.
