Atal Medical and Research University (AMRU), Himachal Pradesh, has released the official prospectus for MBBS and BDS counselling 2026-27. The centralised online counselling will be conducted for admission to medical and dental seats in government and private colleges based on NEET-UG 2026 merit. Application Fee Structure

AMRU has released the fee details for the counselling process:

  • General/NRI/OBC Candidates: ₹2,500
  • SC/ST/EWS Candidates: ₹1,500
  • Persons with Disability (PwD): Zero fee (Exempt)

The entire application and counselling process will be conducted online. No refund will be issued for the application fee under any circumstances.

Who Can Apply?

Candidates must qualify NEET-UG 2026 conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to be eligible for HP MBBS/BDS counselling. Only qualified candidates whose names appear in the official merit list will be permitted to participate in the counselling process.

For state quota seats (85% of government college seats), applicants must possess a valid Himachal Pradesh domicile certificate. Non-domicile candidates can apply for management quota and NRI quota seats in private colleges.

Complete Counselling Schedule for 2026-27

The prospectus outlines four counselling rounds:

  • Second Round: Registration from August 31–September 2, Merit list by September 3, Choice filling September 6–8, Final allocation September 11, Joining by September 13–14.
  • Third Round: Registration from September 16–18, Merit list by September 19, Choice filling September 22–24, Final allocation September 28, Joining by September 30–October 1.
  • Stray Vacancy Round: Dates to be notified separately.

  • NEET-UG 2026 scorecard
  • 10+2 marksheet
  • Domicile certificate (for state quota)
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Aadhaar card
  • Passport-size photograph

The print-out of the online application confirmation must be submitted along with allotment letters and original documents on the day of college reporting.
