Rajasthan’s NEET UG counselling authority has moved ahead with Round 1 of MBBS and BDS admissions 2026 by publishing the provisional list of candidates who applied under the NRI category. According to the notice issued by the Office of the Chairman, candidates named in the list must report for document verification on August 19, 2026, at 9 am at SMS Medical College, JLN Marg, Jaipur.
The list, spread across nine pages, records candidates ranging from serial number 1 to 273, along with their NEET UG 2026 marks and All India Rank. Marks on the list range widely, reflecting that NRI category admission in Rajasthan is not governed by the same merit cutoff as the general category, since NRI seats function under a separate eligibility framework.
Eligibility and Documentation Requirements
Under the applicable Rajasthan government order (F.5(968)DME/LC/2018/1997 dated April 29, 2019), NRI candidates must have at least one parent who is an NRI ordinarily residing abroad, or must be sponsored by a first-degree relative who qualifies as an NRI. Candidates need to produce a certificate from the Indian embassy or the Ministry of External Affairs confirming NRI status, or a notarised undertaking from the sponsor.
Additional documents include a financial affidavit confirming the sponsor’s commitment to bear the full course fee, a family relationship undertaking in Proforma-5, and address proof of parents and the local guardian. The counselling board has clarified that any NRI sponsorship undertaking must be dated on or after June 21, 2026, the date of the NEET UG 2026 examination.
Document verification is mandatory in person, with candidates required to bring original certificates and one set of photocopies. Those confirmed eligible after verification become eligible for NRI seat allotment; no reservation benefit applies on NRI seats in any medical or dental college in the state.

Fee Requirement
Candidates opting for an NRI seat, whether in a government or private medical college, must deposit a refundable security amount of Rs 5,00,000 before choice-filling begins.
