MCC NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Seat Allotment Result

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will declare the NEET UG 2026 Round 1 seat allotment result on August 19, 2026, on its official website, mcc.nic.in. The result covers admissions to MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing courses under the 15% All India Quota, deemed universities, central universities, AFMC, ESIC, AIIMS and JIPMER. Candidates allotted a seat must report at their designated institute between August 20 and August 25, 2026, to confirm their admission.

Key Highlights

  • MCC will process Round 1 seat allotment on August 18 and declare the result on August 19, 2026.
  • Reporting and joining at allotted institutes will take place from August 20 to August 25, 2026.
  • Institutes must verify the data of joined candidates by August 26, 2026.
  • The result date was revised from an earlier scheduled date of August 17 after MCC extended the registration and choice-locking window.
  • Candidates can choose to “freeze” their seat by reporting physically, or opt to “float” for consideration in Round 2 without forfeiting the current allotment.
  • Round 1 offers a free exit facility; candidates who decide not to join do not lose their security deposit.
  • The counselling covers MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing seats under AIQ, deemed universities, central universities, AFMC, ESIC, AIIMS and JIPMER.

Reporting Schedule and Process

Candidates allotted a seat in Round 1 must report at the allotted institute between August 20 and August 25, 2026. Two options are available at the time of reporting:

  • Freeze: Candidates who wish to accept the allotted seat permanently must report physically at the institute and complete admission formalities. Freeze candidates cannot participate in Round 2 of AIQ counselling.
  • Float: Candidates who want a chance at a better seat in Round 2 can submit their willingness for upgradation online, without reporting physically at the currently allotted institute. Their Round 1 seat remains provisionally secured while they remain in contention for further allotment.

Note: Institutes are required to verify and upload the data of all joined candidates on the MCC portal by August 26, 2026.

Documents Required for Reporting

Candidates must carry the following documents, along with self-attested photocopies, while reporting at the allotted institute:

  • MCC Round 1 allotment letter
  • NEET 2026 admit card issued by NTA
  • NEET 2026 result or rank letter issued by NTA
  • Class 10 certificate and mark sheet (for proof of date of birth)
  • Class 12 certificate and mark sheet
  • Caste or category certificate, where applicable
  • Medical fitness certificate
  • Character certificate from the last attended institution
  • Passport-size photographs, as specified in the information bulletin

Note: Institutes may ask for additional documents based on their specific admission requirements, so candidates should also check the allotted college’s notice before reporting.

Counselling Fee and Security Deposit

The registration fee and refundable security deposit for Round 1 vary by seat type and category, as specified in the MCC Information Bulletin 2026:

AIQ, central universities, AFMC, ESIC, AIIMS, JIPMER and B.Sc Nursing seats:
