Free Exit and Seat Retention Rules
Candidates who do not report to their Round 1 allotted seat are treated as a free exit. They keep their security deposit and remain eligible for Round 2. Candidates who choose “freeze” retain their current seat, while those who choose “float” stay in the running for a better seat in Round 2 without losing the one already allotted, unless upgraded.
From Round 2 onward, resigning an allotted seat leads to forfeiture of the security deposit, and seats allotted in Round 3 cannot be resigned at all.
