AIQ, Deemed and Central University Round 2 Schedule

MCC’s notice, uploaded on its website on September 2, lays out the counselling window for the 15% All India Quota, deemed universities, central universities, ESIC institutions, AFMC Pune, AIIMS institutions, and JIPMER Puducherry and Karaikal. Candidates can complete registration and fee payment from September 3 up to 3 PM on September 8, with the payment window open till 6 PM the same day.

Choice filling runs from September 3 until 10 AM on September 9. Choice locking begins at 4 PM on September 8 and closes at 10 AM on September 9, both timings based on server time. MCC will process seat allotment on September 9 and 10, and declare the result on September 11. Candidates allotted a seat must report to their institute between September 12 and 18.

State Quota Round 2 Schedule

State counselling authorities will conduct Round 2 for state quota MBBS, BDS and B.Sc Nursing seats between September 7 and September 11, 2026. As with the AIQ round, candidates allotted a state quota seat must complete reporting and joining formalities by September 18, 2026, the common deadline across both categories.

Academic Session and Verification Deadline

The academic session for undergraduate medical courses admitted through Round 2 will commence on September 15, 2026. Participating institutes and state Directorates of Medical Education must submit verification data of joined candidates to MCC by September 19, 2026.

MCC has directed all participating institutes and colleges to treat Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted holidays as working days during this period, citing the limited time available to complete the counselling process on schedule.

Who Can Participate in Round 2

Round 2 is open to candidates who did not receive a seat allotment in Round 1 of NEET UG 2026 counselling. Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 1 but chose the “float” option can also participate in Round 2 to seek an upgrade, subject to MCC’s counselling rules.
