KNRUHS Reopens MBBS, BDS Registration Under Competent Authority Quota for 2026-27

Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has reopened online registration for MBBS and BDS admissions under the Competent Authority Quota for the academic year 2026-27. The university issued the notification on August 18, 2026, allowing NEET UG 2026-qualified candidates in Telangana to register from 2 PM on August 18 to 6 PM on August 20 at tsmedadm.tsche.in. KNRUHS reopened the window after receiving requests from candidates who could not complete their applications before the original August 12 deadline.

Key Highlights

  • KNRUHS has reopened registration for MBBS and BDS admissions under Competent Authority Quota for 2026-27.
  • The extended window runs from 2 PM on August 18 to 6 PM on August 20, 2026.
  • Candidates who already registered during the earlier window do not need to apply again.
  • Registration is accepted only through the official portal, tsmedadm.tsche.in.
  • Only candidates who qualified NEET UG 2026 with the prescribed cut-off score or above are eligible.
  • The quota covers government medical and dental colleges, and Category A seats in private unaided institutions, including Army College of Dental Sciences.
  • Registration fee is Rs 4,000 for OC/BC candidates and Rs 3,200 for SC/ST candidates, and it is non-refundable.
  • Seat matrix, tuition fee structure and the web-options schedule are yet to be announced.

Why KNRUHS Reopened Registration

KNRUHS had originally opened registration for Competent Authority Quota MBBS and BDS seats at 6 AM on August 5 and closed it at 6 PM on August 12, 2026. Several eligible candidates were unable to complete the process within this period. The university reopened the window for two additional days to give them another opportunity to register before the merit list process begins.

Who Can Apply

Registration in the reopened window is open only to candidates who qualified NEET UG 2026 with the cut-off score fixed for their category or above. As per the original notification, the qualifying marks are

  • 213 (50th percentile) for General and EWS candidates,
  • 194 (45th percentile) for General PwD candidates, and
  • 177 (40th percentile) for SC, ST, BC candidates and their PwD counterparts.

Note: Eligibility is restricted to Telangana-domiciled candidates.

How to Register

Candidates need to visit tsmedadm.tsche.in and complete the online registration form. They must then upload scanned copies of the required certificates before the window closes at 6 PM on August 20. The university has advised applicants to complete the process early instead of waiting for the final hours, since no further extension is guaranteed.

Registration and certificate upload need to be done only once across all Competent Authority Quota counselling rounds. Candidates who registered during the earlier August 5-12 window should not submit a fresh application.

What Happens After Registration

Once registration closes, KNRUHS will release a provisional state merit list for Competent Authority Quota candidates. Final document verification will take place at the respective allotted colleges at the time of admission. The university is yet to announce the seat matrix, tuition fee details and the schedule for web options.
