Change 3. Marking Scheme for JEE Main 2025
Another significant change introduced for 2025 is the JEE Main marking scheme. Until last year, the marking scheme for JEE Mains was as follows-
- MCQs: +4 marks for each correct answer, -1 for wrong answers, 0 for unattempted questions
- NVQs: +4 marks for each correct answer, 0 for wrong answers, and unattempted questions
However, the NTA has introduced negative marking in JEE Main for the NVQs. Now, for each correct NVQ, you’ll receive +4 and one mark will be deducted for each wrong NVQ. So, the updated marketing scheme for JEE Main 2025 is as follows-
- MCQs: +4 marks for each correct answer, -1 for wrong answers, 0 for unattempted questions
