Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2026: Slot Booking Link Active, Document Verification From August 4

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will conduct document verification for UGNEET-2026 candidates from August 4 to August 8, 2026, ahead of state quota counselling for MBBS, BDS and AYUSH admissions. Candidates must book a verification slot through the link activated on the KEA portal, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in, on August 2. Only those who have booked a slot will be allowed to appear, and KEA has said candidates must attend in person, with no representatives permitted.

The announcement follows the release of the Karnataka UGNEET 2026 score list on July 30, which carries 69,170 candidates eligible for state quota counselling.

Who Must Attend Document Verification

KEA has restricted verification to candidates who qualified NEET UG 2026, registered with the authority, entered their NEET roll number in the KEA application, and made specific claims in the form. Four groups fall under this requirement.

• The first covers candidates claiming NRI, NRI ward or foreign national status.
• The second covers candidates registered for CET-2026 who could not download the verification slip because their Kannada, rural, linguistic minority or religious minority claims were not verified.
• The third covers newly registered candidates making any of those same claims.
• The fourth group is candidates claiming admission under Category RC-2 to Category RC-8 at St John’s Medical College, Bengaluru.

Note: Candidates in the first three groups must report to the KEA office at 18th Cross, Malleswaram, Bengaluru. Those in the fourth group must report to the Medical College Council Room on the ground floor of St John’s Medical College, Koramangala, Bengaluru.

Who Does Not Need to Appear?

KEA has clarified that a large section of registered candidates can skip this step. Candidates who have already downloaded their verification slip after entering their NEET roll number need only download the slip again if required.

Candidates who registered afresh and have not claimed any reservation category also do not need to appear. Those who claimed Category RC-1 or Category RC-9 at St John’s Medical College are exempt as well.

Important Dates

Note: KEA has not yet notified its own round-wise dates for option entry, mock allotment and seat allotment. Those will be announced separately on the KEA portal.

Documents Required

Candidates attending verification must carry originals as listed in the UGNEET-2026 information bulletin dated January 17, 2026, available on the KEA website. This generally includes the NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard, Class 10 and Class 12 marks cards, study or eligibility certificates, and category certificates issued by a competent Karnataka authority where reservation is claimed.

Foreign national applicants must additionally produce passport and visa copies, proof of citizenship, birth certificate, Aadhaar, and parental residence proof issued by the relevant embassy or an equivalent declaration.
