The Directorate of Medical Education, Manipur, has opened registrations for the Manipur Medical e-Counselling 2026-27, offering NEET UG-qualified candidates seats in MBBS, BDS, and BASLP courses. The entire counselling process will be conducted online through manipurmc.mn.gov.in, with registration from August 13–19, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have qualified NEET-UG 2026 with Manipur domicile and completed 10+2 in the Science stream, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English. Minimum 50% aggregate is required in the qualifying examination (40% for SC/ST, 45% for PwBD candidates). Candidates must have attained 17 years of age as of December 31, 2026.

Seat Categories and Institutions

Counselling will allocate seats across three quota categories:

  • State Government Seats for MBBS/BDS/BASLP at Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Shija Academy of Health Sciences (SAHS), Churachandpur Medical College (CMC), and Regional Dental College (RDC), Guwahati.
  • Management Quota Seats for MBBS at SAHS, Langol.
  • NRI Quota Seats for MBBS at SAHS, Langol.

Note: The security deposit will be refunded after completion of all counselling rounds, subject to fulfilment of relevant conditions.

Registration and Choice Filling

Eligible candidates must register on the web-based portal at https://manipurmc.mn.gov.in. The DME does not allot seats manually; all registration must be completed online during the specified window. Only one NEET UG Counselling application per candidate is permitted; multiple applications result in debarment.

Candidates can select from three seat types (Government, Management, NRI) with multiple choices allowed subject to fee payment. Once final submission is completed, seat type selections are permanently locked and cannot be altered. Choice filling is mandatory for every counselling round.

Freeze vs. Float Candidates

After seat allotment, candidates must decide:

  • Freeze Candidate: Does not wish to upgrade their allotted seat and will retain it. Must physically report at the allotted college during August 25–28, 2026, with original documents. If withdrawing, must submit physical resignation during the prescribed time period.
  • Float Candidate: Wishes to upgrade their seat in subsequent rounds. Does not need to physically report at the allotted college and can submit an online seat surrender request through the portal. Will receive a Provisional Admission Letter after successful verification.

Note: Candidates allotted seats at Regional Dental College (RDC), Guwahati, must mandatorily report physically for document verification, irrespective of Freeze/Float status. Once a seat is surrendered/resigned, candidates have no further claim on it.
