The Department of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, has released the first-round schedule for MP NEET UG counselling 2026, opening online registration for MBBS and BDS admissions on August 5, 2026, at dme.mponline.gov.in. The last date to apply is August 13, 2026, and the Round 1 seat allotment result will be published on August 20, 2026. The counselling covers 85 per cent state quota seats in government and private medical and dental colleges of Madhya Pradesh for the 2026-27 academic session.

MP NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 Schedule
The schedule follows the declaration of the NEET UG 2026 result on July 16, 2026, and aligns Madhya Pradesh with the state-quota calendar issued by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

Note: Candidates who are not allotted a seat in Round 1, or who are not satisfied with the seat they receive, will be able to participate in the second and subsequent rounds.
Registration Is Not Complete Without Fee Payment
A registration form saved without payment will not be considered. Candidates must pay the registration fee through the online payment gateway; only after payment can they download the registration receipt, and the registration tracker on the candidate dashboard turns green.
Candidates should keep their NEET UG 2026 scorecard, Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets, Madhya Pradesh domicile certificate, and category certificate ready before starting the process. Eligibility and reservation claims are verified strictly at the reporting stage, and admission depends on the Madhya Pradesh Medical Education Admission Rules, 2018, along with the amendments notified in June 2019, October 2021, July 2022, May 2023 and July 2024.
A Compressed MP NEET UG Admission Cycle
NEET UG 2026 was held on June 21, 2026, after the cancellation of the earlier exam, and the National Testing Agency declared the result on July 16, 2026. Of nearly 20 lakh candidates who appeared, more than 11.21 lakh qualified.
For reference, the 2025 cycle saw 14 government medical colleges in Madhya Pradesh offering 2,338 MBBS seats, of which 1,961 were earmarked for the state quota, 348 for All India Quota and 29 for the central pool, alongside 12 private medical colleges with about 2,300 MBBS seats, one government dental college with 63 BDS seats and private dental colleges accounting for 1,320 BDS seats. The confirmed 2026 figures will be known only when DME publishes the seat matrix on August 11.
Steps to Register
- Visit dme.mponline.gov.in and open the Undergraduate Counselling (MBBS/BDS) section.
- Click “Create Profile” and enter the NEET UG 2026 roll number and required credentials.
- Fill the registration form with personal, academic and category details.
- Upload the domicile, category, and academic documents.
- Pay the registration fee online and download the receipt.
- Return to the portal on August 15 to fill and lock choices.
