What the Cutoff Means
The MCC cutoff is not a pass mark. It is the last rank at which a seat was filled in a specific college, category and quota during Round 1.
A candidate ranked better than a college’s closing rank had a realistic chance of allotment there, provided the choice was filled and locked. Round 1 cutoffs are the strictest of the cycle, and ranks usually relax in later rounds as candidates upgrade, resign or skip reporting.
Why the Round 1 Result Was Revised
MCC published the provisional result on August 20, 2026, followed by a revised provisional result on August 21 after an error in the uploading of a PwD certificate by a Primary Assessment Centre.
MCC stated the revised provisional result was “indicative only and remains subject to change” and that “no right to the allotted seat shall be conferred based on the revised provisional result.” The grievance window closed on August 22, and the final result followed on August 24, 2026.

- Visit mcc.nic.in and open the UG Medical Counselling section.
- Click the Round 1 seat allotment result or allotment letter link.
- Log in with the NEET UG 2026 roll number, password and captcha.
- Download the allotment letter and check the college, course and category.
Note: The college-wise and category-wise Round 1 allotment PDF can also be opened without logging in.
Reporting and Round 2 Dates
Allotted candidates must report physically at their college with original documents by August 31, 2026. Those who fail to report lose the seat, and the security deposit is liable to be forfeited under MCC rules.
