The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) has issued a second revised schedule for Round 1 counselling for admission to MBBS and BDS courses under state quota seats. The notice, numbered OJEE/430 and dated August 20, 2026, extends the choice-filling window to 5 PM on August 22 and pushes the final allotment letter date to August 26. OJEE said the change follows a revision in the Medical Counselling Committee’s (MCC) schedule for the 15% All India Quota and a related revision of the state quota timeline effective August 19, 2026. The updated schedule applies to candidates who registered for Round 1 and feature in the state merit list.
Why OJEE Revised the Schedule Again
MCC had earlier updated the Round 1 counselling timeline for All India Quota seats, moving seat allotment processing to August 19-20 and the result to August 21, 2026. Since Odisha’s state quota counselling for the 85% state seats runs alongside the All India Quota process, OJEE adjusted its own dates a second time to keep both counselling tracks synchronised and avoid clashes for candidates participating in each.
This is the second revision to the Round 1 schedule this counselling cycle. OJEE had already pushed choice filling from its original August 17 deadline to August 18 earlier this month before extending it further to August 22 under the latest notice.

Note: Candidates who have already locked their choices are not required to fill choices again. Those yet to lock their preferences must complete the step before the choice-filling window closes on August 22.
Who the Revised Schedule Applies To
The revised schedule covers candidates who registered for Round 1 counselling and are included in the Odisha state merit list for MBBS/BDS admission. Candidates should note that this schedule is specific to the 85% state quota seats; those allotted seats under the 15% All India Quota through MCC continue to follow the MCC-issued timeline separately.
Reporting and Admission Process
Candidates allotted a seat must report to their allotted medical or dental college for provisional admission between August 28 and September 6, 2026, carrying the required original documents and fee as specified in the counselling guidelines published on the OJEE website. Candidates who do not report within this window risk forfeiting the allotted seat, as per standard OJEE counselling rules.
