Candidates seeking MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BVSc & AH seats in Puducherry have until 6 August 2026, 5:00 pm to submit their online applications to the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Government of Puducherry. The admission notification was issued on 30 July 2026 through the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, and applications are being accepted only at centacpuducherry.in. Separately, the UT of Puducherry NEET UG state merit list for 2026-27 has already been published by the Health Department, with objections open until 5 August 2026.

Merit List Already Out, Objection Window Closes August 5
CENTAC confirmed in a notice dated 3 August 2026 that the NEET UG merit list for 2026 has been published on the Puducherry Health Department website, health.py.gov.in, and that objections had been invited on or before 5 August 2026. The committee added that objections may also be sent by email to dms@py.gov.in.

Note: Payment is accepted online only. A single candidate may submit just one application; filing more than one leads to cancellation of both.
Certificate Dating Rules Applicants Miss Most
Candidates claiming Puducherry residency must upload renewed certificates issued on or after 1 January 2026, including the residence certificate and community certificate. Community certificates issued in the Central Educational Institutions format are not accepted.
For EWS and income certificates, the cut-off is later: these must be issued on or after 1 April 2026. Regional reservation certificates for Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam, and special reservation certificates for freedom fighter, PwBD, ex-servicemen, MSP and government school categories, must be uploaded wherever applicable.
CENTAC has warned that applications carrying residency or nativity claims in more than one state, or supported by fake certificates, will be rejected and may attract legal action.
Sports and PwBD Candidates
CENTAC published separate guidelines on 31 July 2026 for admission under the Meritorious Sports Persons quota and for the assessment of Persons with Benchmark Disabilities under the Government Quota.
MSP applicants from the Puducherry region must hand-deliver self-attested copies of their sports certificates along with a copy of the application at the CENTAC office, Kamarajar Manimandapam, by 6 August 2026, 5:00 pm. Candidates from Karaikal, Mahe and Yanam must upload a single self-attested PDF through their login dashboard by the same deadline.
Seat Matrix and Counselling Schedule Still Awaited
CENTAC has published seat matrices for PG Dental, UG Non-NEET, B.Arch and B.Tech lateral entry courses, but the UG NEET seat matrix for 2026-27 has not yet appeared on the portal. The round-wise choice filling and allotment schedule also remains unannounced. Counselling is conducted in four stages: Round 1, Round 2, Round 3 and a stray vacancy round.
As of 4 August 2026, the CENTAC portal showed more than 3,400 completed UG NEET applications.
Cross-State AYUSH Option
CENTAC has also invited applications from Puducherry candidates for BSMS, BUMS and BHMS courses in government Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy colleges in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. The original notification was issued on 21 July 2026, and the last date was extended through a notice dated 31 July 2026. Interested candidates should check the revised deadline on the portal before applying.
