Candidates can check their round 1 seat allotment status by following these steps:
- Visit the official counselling website, admission.bfuhsonline.ac.in.
- Click on the NEET UG 2026 counselling link under the Notices section.
- Open the Round 1 seat allotment result or search using your registration number and NEET roll number.
- Download and save the allotment letter, which shows the allotted college, course and category.
- Take a printout of the allotment letter to carry it to the allotted college.
Why the Result Was Revised
BFUHS first published a provisional seat allotment list on August 22 based on the final merit list issued on August 15. Candidates who found errors in their allotment were allowed to raise objections until 3 pm on August 23. After reviewing these objections, the university issued a revised, final seat allotment list on August 24, which is the list candidates must now act on for reporting.
College Reporting: Documents and Fees
Candidates allotted a seat in round 1 must report in person to the allotted college between August 25 and August 28. Colleges are verifying documents and collecting admission fees within this window, and candidates should carry both original documents and photocopies, including:
- Round 1 seat allotment letter
- NEET UG 2026 admit card and rank letter
- Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets and certificates
- Category certificate, if applicable
- Punjab domicile certificate
- Valid photo identity proof
- Passport-size photographs
Candidates also need to pay the counselling fee at the time of registration if it has not already been paid. General and other category candidates pay Rs 5,900, while Scheduled Caste candidates pay Rs 2,950, both inclusive of 18 percent GST.

Punjab has a total of 2,049 MBBS seats and 1,250 BDS seats for the 2026 admission cycle. Government medical colleges offering MBBS include AIIMS Bathinda, Government Medical College Amritsar, Government Medical College Patiala, Guru Gobind Singh Medical College Faridkot, and Dr B R Ambedkar State Institute of Medical Sciences, Mohali. The remaining MBBS seats are spread across 8 private medical colleges, and BDS seats are offered by 3 government and 14 private dental colleges.
Of the total seats in government colleges, 85 percent are filled through the Punjab state quota counselling conducted by BFUHS, while the remaining 15 percent go to the All India Quota round conducted separately by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). All seats in private medical and dental colleges are filled through the state counselling process.
What Happens After August 28
Candidates who report and confirm admission by the deadline will be considered finally admitted for round 1. Those who do not report within the window will forfeit the allotted seat.
