Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, has released the schedule for Punjab MBBS and BDS admissions for the 2026 session. The prospectus goes live on the university website and online application forms open on August 5, 2026, with the last date for submission set at August 10, 2026, up to 5:00 PM.
The schedule covers 85 per cent state quota seats in government medical and dental colleges and all seats in private, minority and university-run institutes across Punjab. The provisional merit list is due on August 13, choice filling runs from August 16 to 19, and the Round 1 provisional seat allotment result will be displayed on August 22, 2026.

Note: Objections to both the merit list and the seat allotment will be accepted only through personal appearance at the Admission Branch in Faridkot along with documentary evidence. Objections sent by email or any other electronic mode will not be entertained.

Category-Specific Requirements
Sports category candidates must submit two printed copies of the online application form in person at the Admission Branch, BFUHS, Faridkot, along with the Sports Gradation Certificate issued by the Director, Sports, Punjab, and self-attested copies of supporting documents.
Eligibility verification for Christian minority quota candidates will be held at Christian Medical College, Ludhiana.
Sikh minority quota candidates will be verified at Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Amritsar.
Only candidates cleared at these centres may exercise preferences for minority quota seats during online counselling.
NRI applicants must submit a physical application form by August 12. Separate forms for the eligibility certificate and for admission are available on the university website.
Candidates claiming Persons with Benchmark Disability reservation must produce a valid UDID card or disability certificate issued under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, and in line with National Medical Commission norms.
Single-State Declaration and Service Bond
This year’s notification adds a compliance test. Each candidate and their parent or guardian must file an affidavit confirming that state quota eligibility has been claimed in Punjab alone and not in any other state or union territory for the same session. A false declaration makes the candidature liable to cancellation.
A service bond of ₹20 lakh applies only to candidates admitted to MBBS in Punjab’s government medical colleges, under both state and All India Quota. Bonded service is two years for state quota admissions and one year for All India Quota admissions.
