The Veterinary Council of India (VCI) opened online registration for B.V.Sc & A.H. admission counselling 2026-27 on Tuesday, August 18, at vci.admissions.nic.in. The counselling covers 858 seats under the 15% All India Quota in government and private veterinary colleges across the country. Registration and choice filling for Round 1 will remain open till August 23, and only candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2026 are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria for BVSc & AH Admission

Candidates must have qualified NEET UG 2026 to be eligible for VCI counselling. They must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English, securing at least 50% aggregate marks in these subjects. The minimum qualifying marks for SC and ST candidates are 47.5%. Candidates must also have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2026, and hold Indian citizenship, OCI, or PIO status as applicable.

Seats under the 15% All India Quota are reserved as follows: 15% for SC, 7.5% for ST, 10% for EWS, and 27% for OBC candidates under the non-creamy layer in the central list. A 5% horizontal reservation applies for candidates with disabilities (PwD).

Note: All timings are based on the counselling server clock, from 11:00 AM to 11:55 PM on registration days, and up to 5:00 PM on reporting days.

VCI Counselling Registration Fee

The registration fee for Round 1 and Round 2 is Rs 1,000 for general category candidates, Rs 900 for EWS and OBC candidates, and Rs 500 for SC, ST, PwD, and transgender candidates. This fee is non-refundable once paid, regardless of whether a seat is allotted.

Candidates who wish to participate in the Stray Round must pay a separate, higher fee: Rs 50,000 for general, OBC, EWS, and PIO candidates, and Rs 25,000 for SC, ST, PwD, and transgender candidates.

Documents Required for College Reporting

Candidates reporting to their allotted college must carry the NEET UG 2026 admit card and rank card issued by NTA, Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets and certificates, a character certificate from the last attended school or college, six passport-size and one postcard-size colour photograph, and original identity proof such as Aadhaar, voter ID, or passport. Candidates claiming reservation must also carry their SC, ST, OBC, EWS, or PwD certificate, as applicable.
