The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC), Gandhinagar, has opened online PIN purchase and registration for MBBS and BDS admissions in Gujarat for the 2026-27 academic year. The committee posted the notice on its official portal, medadmgujarat.org, on July 31, 2026. Candidates who qualified NEET UG 2026 must complete PIN purchase and online registration by August 12, 2026, and then report to a designated help centre for document verification.

  • Registration and online PIN purchase window: July 31 to August 12, 2026.
  • Document verification and submission of photocopies at help centres: August 3 to 13, 2026, up to 4:00 PM.

  • Choice filling and round-wise seat allotment dates have not been announced yet.

Registration Process and Fees

PIN purchase is the first step. Without it, a candidate cannot open the registration form.

Candidates must pay ₹1,000 as a non-refundable PIN charge and ₹10,000 as a refundable security deposit, adding up to ₹11,000. The 14-digit PIN generated after payment is used to complete the registration form and create the candidate login.

ACPUGMEC has advised candidates to use a high-speed or broadband connection while purchasing the PIN to avoid transaction failure.

After submitting the form, candidates must print the registration slip. The date and the help centre for document verification are selected by the candidate at the time of printing the registration slip.

Rules for NRI, OCI, PwD and Local Quota Candidates

NRI candidates: After completing the online application, NRI applicants must submit a demand draft of ₹10,000 in favour of “ACPUGMEC, payable at Gandhinagar” as a process fee at the ACPUGMEC office, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar, and nowhere else.

OCI candidates: Following the Supreme Court judgment of February 3, 2023, in Writ Petition (C) No. 891 of 2021, OCI card holders are eligible for NRI, Management and Government Quota seats. However, under current Gujarat rules, a candidate seeking a Government or Management Quota seat must have passed Class 10 and Class 12 from schools within Gujarat and must either be born in Gujarat or hold a Gujarat domicile.

PwD candidates: Applicants under the disability category must book an online appointment during registration to appear before the Medical Board for disability assessment. The committee has released the list of civil hospitals where the assessment will take place, along with the assessment guidelines for MBBS admission in 2026.

Local quota: Candidates applying for local quota seats at Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College, Ahmedabad, or Surat Municipal Institute of Medical Education and Research (SMIMER), Surat, must obtain a local student certificate from the dean of the respective institute in addition to registering online.
