MP NEET UG 2026 Seat Matrix

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Madhya Pradesh, has published the MP NEET UG 2026 seat matrix for Round 1 of state counselling at dme.mponline.gov.in. The seat chart was uploaded on August 11, 2026, along with an invitation for candidates and colleges to raise objections. Why the Seat Matrix Matters

Seat allotment in MP counselling is generated strictly from the choices a candidate submits and locks. Candidates who fill preferences without checking the college-wise and category-wise availability risk locking options that carry no seat in their category.

DME has advised candidates to study the seat chart carefully before opening the choice filling window on August 15, 2026.

The department has also built in a correction step. Because the August 11 chart was published as a provisional vacancy position, the figures released today, after the disposal of objections, will be used for the Round 1 allotment.

How Seats Are Divided

Madhya Pradesh applies vertical reservation of 40 per cent unreserved, 20 per cent Scheduled Tribe, 16 per cent Scheduled Caste, 14 per cent Other Backwards Classes and 10 per cent Economically Weaker Sections in the state quota pool.

The state also runs two horizontal reservations that are distinct from most other states: a 30 per cent quota for women and a 5 per cent Government School Quota for candidates who studied Classes 9 to 12 in Madhya Pradesh government schools.

State quota seats are open only to candidates holding a Madhya Pradesh domicile certificate. Candidates without domicile can generally compete only for management quota seats in private colleges.
